My 3.5-year old daughter had been asking for a bed for her dollies ever since she saw one at a posh toy store but I wasn't gonna spend $80 for a doll bed and then some for bedding. So I searched from Ebay to Pottery Barn and was finding either too kitschy or too expensive. Finally I found this lovely doll bed on Amazon.com that had all I was looking for: it was made of wood, looked sweet but not too princess-y, and had a decent price. The product required assembly which was a fun family activity on Christmas morning when we opened it; the assembly was easy and the tool was included. The bed has fine turned wood details, the pillow and cover are a nice muted pink. I wish they made this in natural wood finish instead of painted. It is a good size bed and quite sturdy -we will be playing with it for a long time.
